Position Description

You will serve as a PAINTER LEADER in the PRODUCTION LINES DERPARTMENT of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will provide leadership to shop personnel.
  • You will inspect and examine parts and assemblies to determine type of metal prior to applying appropriate protective finishes and colors in accordance with technical directives.
  • You will use abrasive sandblasting equipment to clean, remove corrosion and other contaminants from parts and equipment.
  • You will perform solution analysis, make chemical additions and inspect work in process and upon completion.
  • You will operate various types of metal spraying equipment including plasma, thermo, and wire spray.
