Position Duties/Responsibilities

Prior supervision experience (minimum 2 years), SAP, highly proficient in Microsoft Excel  

This is a supervisor position within the Accounting Department at the Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), which is located in Orlando adjacent to the University of Central Florida (UCF).  This position will be responsible for the supervision and leadership of personnel and procedures associated with travel and transportation expenditures which include processes that occur within the Defense Travel System (DTS), Navy ERP (which utilizes SAP software), and with the Government Travel Charge Card vendor, Citi. The position will provide overall analysis, guidance, and decision making with regards to the various financial transactions that stem from travel related expenses within the command. The position will work with subordinates, command leadership, and customers throughout the command to ensure various regulations, instructions, and business rules are adhered to in order to provide appropriate and timely reimbursement of travel related expenses. This position will also work directly on internal and external audits associated with travel related transactions to ensure auditability standards are met and proactive measures and internal controls are in place to mitigate risk to the command. The ability to analyse data from various financial systems through the use of Microsoft Excel is essential.  For additional information with regards to the policy that impacts the responsibilities of this position refer to the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and the DoD FMR VOL 9 (Travel Policy).
