FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a Facility Operations Specialist in the Facilities Management and Engineering Division, Infrastructure Safety and Business Operations Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will perform routine facility maintenance, operations, and repairs across multiple trades, including carpentry, plumbing, masonry, basic electrical, and HVAC systems.
• You will conduct regular facility inspections to identify repair needs, health hazards, and safety issues while maintaining accurate maintenance logs and records.
• You will analyze organizational space and facility requirements to develop comprehensive plans for building modifications, resource allocations, and new construction.
• You will serve as a technical point of contact and liaison to coordinate day-to-day facility operations, sustainment projects, and modernization efforts with external service providers.
• You will assist end users by preparing technical work requests, developing documentation for service actions, and participating on project review boards to ensure program requirements are met.
