You will serve as a ACCOUNTANT in the FINANCIAL IMPROVEMENT & AUDIT REMEDIATION DEPT of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will provide subject matter expertise to support NAVAIR efforts to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- You will provide input for the development of testing schedules/strategies, manage testing process, provide any training/guidance necessary, and assess the testing documentation and results to determine if remediation is required.
- You will responsible for review and analysis of relevant guidance/policies, and proposed changes, to ensure NAVAIR compliance with business and financial accounting standards and policies, and alignment with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- You will responsible for collection and analysis of Navy ERP data, principally residing in the SAP Finance, Funds Management, Materials Management, Asset Management, and Document Management System (DMS).
- You will be responsible for development and presentation of metrics to track progress of assigned duties and responsibilities and will identify areas for process improvement and/or training.
