GENERAL ENGINEER

Position Description

You will serve as the Contracted Air Services (CAS) Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) and Senior Project Engineer in the Systems Engineering Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This position will be responsible for directing, overseeing, and managing engineering efforts pertaining to Contractor Owned Contractor Operated (COCO) aircraft assigned to the integrated program team within the Proven Aircraft Program Office (PMA-226).

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will develop and review program technical and mission documentation (e.g., Operational Requirements, Systems Concept Paper), providing authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues.
• You will participate in the development and design of new systems by assessing if available or imminent technology is sufficient to meet requirements or system concepts are applicable to fleet operational requirements.
• You will formulate engineering design concepts and performance requirements which provide the basis for overall technical and engineering planning for the assigned system.
• You will prepare or direct the preparation of the technical portions of the Naval Systems Concept Paper, Procurement Plan, Program Master Plan, Source Selection Plan, Acquisition Plan, and other documents for the development phases of acquisition.
• You will assess progress of system development test and evaluation activities, inventory, production, and support; to ensure adequate resources for project execution.
• You will accomplish other duties as assigned.
