GENERAL ENGINEER

Position Description

You will serve as the Senior Engineering Lead Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) for the Tactical Communications and Networks (TCN) of the F/A-18 & EA-18G Weapon Systems. You will serve as a General Engineer in the Systems Engineering Department, Air Platform Systems Engineering Division, PEO(T) Program Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the acquisition, development, test and evaluation, qualification, certification, airworthiness, safety, performance and sustainment of the tactical communications and networks of the F/A-18 and EA-18G aircraft.
• You will maintain knowledge of current arid future capabilities, problems, and demands upon the system(s) while providing overall technical planning for development, engineering, and evaluation of programs.
• You will integrate cost estimates with program plans (schedules, development requirements, test and evaluation requirements, projected problems, etc.) into a total acquisition POM and budget.
• You will develop and direct contract engineering specifications which define system requirements and parameters.
• You will evaluate technological developments and their applicability to the assigned program and recommend appropriate technical changes throughout the design process.
• You will develop project planning objectives for engineering development of current and long range programs.
