You will serve as a Interdisciplinary Engineer in the Mission Systems Group, Avionics Engineering Department, Avionics, Systems Engineering Division, Unmanned Aviation Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. For 2 banded STRL Positions W/ control points: SALARY RANGE: $132,368 to $183,500 Per Year. If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is equivalent to GS-14, Step 10, 132,368 - $172,075
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will serve as the PMA-263 Advanced Development Lead / Avionics Systems Project Engineer (ASPE)
- You will generate and maintain a PMA science and technology (S and T) roadmap that reflects UAS S and T efforts relevant to the needs of the various PMA UAS platforms.
- You will generate and brief technology transition projects to UAS platform IPTs to obtain IPTL buy-in.
- You will ensure all managed engineering project technical requirements are met through proper tasking and coordination of available personnel and facility resources.
- You will perform program trade studies, impact analyses, analyses of alternatives to assist with the identification and down-select of technical projects.
- You will monitor UAS technology that is either in development or ready for integration that may serve to improve system operational effectiveness and suitability
- You will generate and give technical briefs to audiences ranging from the IPTLs and APMSEs to the PM, PDPM, and APME as well as external program stakeholders.
- You will support APMT and E and Lead Test Engineer in development of test strategies and support of flight test activities performed by either UX-24 UAS Test Squadron and UAS vendors.
