YOU WILL SERVE AS A GENERAL, MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL OR AEROSPACE ENGINEER IN THE AIR SYSTEMS GROUP, AIR VEHICLE ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, SUBSYSTEMS DIVISION, THERMAL MANAGEMENT BRANCH OF NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will provide technical direction to Joint Program Offic and the OEM where complex problems have risen.
- You will develop, formulate, and administer engineering requirements to be embodied in technical criteria and documentation governing aircraft design, analysis and test operation.
- You will evaluate proposed designs and development programs in support of source selection efforts.
- You will mentor and coach personnel at all levels on Power and Thermal Management Systems matters requiring advanced levels of knowledge to address issues of considerable consequences.
- You will assess the operational risk posed by deficient systems.
- You will oversee laboratory qualification programs including initiation of test requirements, formulation of test plans, critical review of test data, and implementation of test results.
- You will identify problems arising during the development of Power and Thermal Management Upgrade (PTMU).
- You will establish optimal approach to solving problems and oversee the efforts of engineers executing the approach.
