LEAD INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (CYBERSECURITY/NETWORK)

Position Description

You will serve as a LEAD IT SPECIALIST (CYBERSECURITY/NETWORK) in the NAVAL AIR SYSTEM COMMAND (NAVAIR) of FLEET READINESS CENTER WESTERN PACIFIC. ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.***

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as the alternate Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM), responsible for the execution of the command's cybersecurity program.
• You will lead, mentor, or guiding other IT Specialists; distributing and balancing workloads; and reviewing work to ensure technical soundness, appropriateness, and conformity to policies.
• You will provide technical expertise and security guidance in the areas of IT Security Defense-In-Depth strategies.
• You will develop plans and procedures for integrating data communications systems and network equipment.
• You will conduct risk and vulnerability assessments to analyze risks and determines appropriate countermeasures to manage them effectively.
