ELECTRONICS ENGINEER

Position Description

This Electronics Engineer position is located in the Avionics Networks and Datalinks Systems Branch, Core Avionics Engineering Division, Avionics Engineer Department, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, in Patuxent River, Maryland.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the development of goals, objectives, and strategies to meet aviation program engineering requirements.
• You will define program tasking efforts which, when executed will enable flight operations portions of programs to comply with their respective requirements.
• You will evaluate communication systems throughout their acquisition life cycle and monitor critical events such as program schedule, milestones, technical performance, funding, and documentation.
• You will participate in the definition of future programs, upgrades, and technical reviews.
• You will research the applicability of current and evolving technology pertinent to avionics development programs.
• You will conduct feasibility assessments, system engineering trade studies, issue analysis, and present finding to program management team members.
• You will establish and maintain contacts with program stakeholders to exchange information, develop or interpret program requirements, enforce adherence to program policies and specification, and negotiate approval of suggestions and requests.
