Position Description

You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (LABOR REL/EMPL REL) in the Command Operations Group, Commander, Fleet Readiness Centers (COMFRC), Human Capital Management Dept. Labor and Employee Relations Division (F124000) of COMFLTREADCEN.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will research and interpret federal/local laws/policies and case law to provide advice and guidance to management officials on a variety of Human Resources labor management and employee relations issues.
  • You will recommend appropriate resolutions to interrelated Human Resources labor management and employee relations issues.
  • You will interpret negotiated collective bargaining agreements to advise management on union-related matters.
  • You will advise management officials on adverse actions, disciplinary actions, performance-based actions, grievances, unfair labor practices, and union requests for information.
  • You will provide training on topics such as Labor Relations, Disciplinary and Adverse Actions, Performance Management and Leave Administration.
  • You will establish guidance and policies for human resource program to solve complex problems to improve programs.
  • You will manage labor relations and employee relations programs by solving complex issues within a complex industrial command.
