INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST

Position Description

You will serve as an Interdisciplinary Engineer/Scientist in the Systems Acquisition Group, Human Systems Engineering Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will be the senior technical expert in transition and acquisition strategy for aircrew and maintainer performance enhancing and life sustaining devices.
• You will serve as the HSE product transition and advanced development advisor and senior systems expert to the HSED Lead Technologist and HSED Department/Division Leadership on all HSE related Advanced Development and transition opportunities.
• You will maintain knowledge and understanding of near-, mid-, and long-term fleet requirements / needs and technology gaps.
• You will work with fleet and Naval requirements officers to understand Warfighter needs and requirements.
• You will be responsible for facilitating coordination of key principal investigators with potential transition sponsors, ensuring critical parameters are identified and that agreements are in place.
