Position Description

Will ensure compliance with established security policies and procedures and coordinate command security requirements as the Team Lead of the International Security Team. Analyze and research security issues, identify solutions, and communicate those solutions effectively, both orally and in writing, to the Command Security Manager and/or department chain-of-command, as appropriate. Establish priorities and coordinate work across projects,

programs or people, and effectively balance work demands.

 

Effectively provide daily support in general security administration by answering security inquiries. Manage tasking and training for members of the International Security Team and work closely with team members to ensure they are familiar with relevant policies and are completing tasking/projects as assigned. Review and approve documentation associated with foreign national visits (i.e. security plans, personal security plans). Provide oversight and job aides for the team’s usage of the Foreign Visit System, Visit Control System, Electronic Foreign Country Clearance Guide, Travel Tracker, Individual Antiterrorism Plan System (IATP) and Aircraft Personnel Automated Control System. Provide management oversight of the Travel Tracker and IATP System for the Command. 

 

Gain familiarity and understanding of international cooperative activities within the command to effectively provide support and guidance and maintain policy compliance.  Provide guidance for the control and protection of classified and sensitive unclassified material/information during visits and subsequent contacts with foreign nationals and commercial representatives.

 

Must have knowledge of DoD and/or DON security policies and procedures for the proper protection, handling and marking of controlled unclassified information (CUI) and classified information. Must provide training to various audiences on International Security related guidelines and processes.
