This position serves as the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) assigned to PMA-299. Primary responsibility is for the technical management and direction of all engineering and coordination of the development, test, and production of this MH-60 variant. You will serve as a General Engineer in the Systems Engineering Department, Air Platform Systems Engineering Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will develop and manage a comprehensive program to develop an assigned system as well as maintain knowledge of current arid future capabilities, problems, and demands.
- You will direct development of contract engineering specifications which define system requirements and parameters, along with directing the systems engineering portion of evaluations during the source selection process.
- You will evaluate technological developments and their applicability to the assigned program and recommend appropriate technical changes throughout the design process.
- You will provide guidance to engineering and other personnel in the functional divisions regarding issuance of Requests for Proposals, Type Specifications, Procurement Requests, and Acquisition Plans.
- You will organize and execute weapon system technical reviews as well as assess progress of system development test and evaluation activities, inventory, production, and support.
- You will ensure all technical and engineering requirements of the program are met including quality assurance reliability, maintainability, system compatibility, and safety engineering.
