Position Description

You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the CORPORATE BUSINESS & ANALYSIS GROUP, SECURITY DEPARTMENT, ADVANCED SECURITY DIVISION, SPECIAL SECURITY (CLK-PM) BRANCH of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will provide support in ensuring the protection of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCI-related activities within Personnel Security (PERSEC), Information Security (INFOSEC), and Physical Security (PHYSEC).
  • You will implement policies, instructions, procedures, control systems, and methods on matters pertaining to the proper safeguarding, handling, storage, transmission, and destruction of classified information, CUI and SCI.
  • You will ensure SCI Facilities (SCIFs) are properly managed by need-to-know principle and all employees, contractors, patrons, and vendors who do not require routine access to facilities, controlled areas, and/or IT systems are escorted.
  • You will serve as a point of contact for processing security clearances and accesses for SCI eligibility using appropriate databases and systems.
  • You will serve as an SCI security point of contact, managing clearances, records, training, visit requests, and incident inquiries while supporting the development of essential security plans and processes.
