You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY INDUSTRIAL ENGINEER/OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the Systems Acquisition Group, Cost & Schedule Analysis (C&SA) Department, and Acquisition Cost Estimating & Analysis (ACE&A) Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The duty location of this position is Arlington, VA.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will direct and lead the day-to-day operations of the Team and perform analytical duties as required.
- You will work with the customer to define the purpose, scope, schedule, and priority of the requested cost analysis.
- You will recommend resource requirements, ensure the customer understands the Team’s needs, and work with the customer and Cost and Schedule Analysis Department to balance tasks and resources.
- You will provide status reports to your supervisor which address program updates/issues, program briefings/reviews, risk analysis, resource management, and team vacancies or personnel changes.
- You will build and maintain good relationships and interfaces with the customer, team members (Cost and Schedule Analysis, Competencies, Contractors, Academia, etc.) and other cost agencies (OSD, NCCA, Air Force, etc).
- You will present and defend the Cost and Schedule Analysis compliant cost analysis to the Program Office and support their presentation and defense of that analysis to senior leadership.
- You will ensure cost estimating/analysis principles, processes, techniques, and tools are applied properly thereby ensuring that all cost products are accurate, timely, and consistent and meet Cost and Schedule Analysis quality standards.
- You will review all cost analysis conducted by your team and coordinate the Cost and Schedule Analysis review and approval process.
- You will ensure adequate direct interface with team members, with special emphasis on ESDP and AIP personnel, by providing training, direction and professional exchanges while also addressing issues of work assignments and technical proficiency.
- You will demonstrate through the performance of your assignments an in-depth understanding of the concepts, principles and methods of cost estimating and analysis for air weapon systems and the relationship to acquisition and support strategies.
