INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST

Position Description

You will serve as an Interdisciplinary Engineer/Scientist in the Research & Development Group, Weapons & Warfare Systems Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as the Test Director for the Gray Flag Large Force Test Event , responsible for the complete lifecycle of Test and Evaluation, including strategic planning, test resource coordination, real-time execution, and final reporting.
• You will lead and direct the Gray Flag Integrated Test Team (ITT), a cross-organizational team composed of various NAVAIR disciplines and their counterparts within other DoD entities, to ensure cohesive and effective test execution.
• You will be responsible for the tactical-level management of the Gray Flag event, including test budget formulation, scheduling, and the coordination of complex resources such as Range, Target, lab, and aircraft assets.
• In partnership with Naval Test Wing Pacific (NTWP) and other key stakeholders, you will develop and execute the overarching strategic vision for the Gray Flag LFTE, acting as a change agent to evolve test processes and forge new testing partnerships.
• You will be responsible for orchestrating the complex phasing and timing of all event participants, ensuring the seamless integration of diverse platforms, systems, and personnel to achieve primary and secondary test objectives.
