INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist in the Research & Development Group, Weapons & Energetics Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will plan, direct and control requisitioning, recording and distribution of expendable ordnance; space control/utilization and physical inventory; and maintain and improve automated inventory recording systems, reports and files.
• You will develop plans and guidelines for junior level employees relating to such matters as program goals, individual performance standards and quality checks to meet the Branch's goals and objectives
• You will ensure that the management of all ammunition assets are correct, efficient, and responsive to customer/fleet requirements.
• You will define policy and procedures governing the receipt, storage and distribution of non-standard ordnance, including foreign, commercial and contractor owned.
• You will analyze policy directives and highly technical correspondence promulgated by higher authority to determine local impact and/or application to expendable ordnance programs.
