QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (AIRCRAFT)

Position Description

This position is a Quality Assurance Specialist (Aircraft) in the Quality Assurance Division (ST63), Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Compliance and Quality Department (ST6) of Fleet Readiness Center Western Pacific (FRCWP).

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will plan, develop, maintain and improve effective activities associated with the IMP depot level maintenance, overhaul, modification, manufacture and ISR of complex air weapons systems, structures, and components.
• You will review technical data and work specifications for adequacy, accuracy and compatibility with quality requirements.
• You will recommend and initiate modifications to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of QA operations.
• You will audit principles, statistical techniques, and continuous improvement methodologies to assess the adequacy of contractor processes to consistently conform to contractual requirements.
• You will Perform quality analysis investigations of quality problems that affect all departments and the QA program.
• You will collect internal and external generated data for analysis in order to determine the adequacy of quality and reliability operations to detect program weakness and to predict major causes of failures.
• You will prepare trend and status reports for distribution to appropriate managers in the command.
• You will Inspect methods used for, overhaul, modification, manufacture and In Service Repair of complex aircraft weapons systems, Structures, and components covering military Aircraft.
