LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (AQUISITION SPECIALIST) in the NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will plan, manage, and coordinate life cycle acquisition requirements for the procurement of SE based on the Weapon System Planning Document (WSPD).
• You will maintain SE Buy List for life-cycle procurement requirements, formulate SE budgets, generate/manage yearly spend plans, recommend and justify budget realignments.
• You will identify acquisition resource requirements and lead Acquisition Team by assigning workload and providing guidance for MILSTRIPs and other SE procurement.
• You will monitor and evaluate team activities to ensure MILSTRIP acquisitions are properly executed prior to completion deadlines and in accordance with the regulations and policies.
• You will determine appropriate acquisition strategies to meet site stand-up/site activation schedules, Initial Outfitting, and funding obligation dates,
• You will coordinate work efforts within and across departments and direct all acquisition activities to align with program objectives and milestones.
• You will coordinate with BFMs, IPTLs, and APMLs to ensure government funds are properly utilized to execute acquisition plans.
• You will perform Technical Procurement Initiator Duties to ensure SE material numbers are present in Navy ERP.
• You will review, develop, and execute SE acquisition packages based on buy plan and WSPD. Write and manage acquisition technical documentation as required to support SE acquisitions.
• You will track all procurement actions through the use of an Integrated Acquisition Data Base and coordinate with Vendors, Contracting personnel and the SE IPT to resolve acquisition logistics issues
