Position Description

You will serve as the Life Support and Physiological Systems Branch Head in the Systems Acquisition Group, Human Systems Engineering Department, Aeromedical and Life Support Division, of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will provide the research, simulation, development, test and evaluation, acquisition, and in-service product support of a variety of items dealing with personnel environmental and threat protection equipment and systems.
• You will be responsible for managing the personnel, facilities, and processes related to research, development, test and evaluation, systems acquisition and product support for Naval Aviation integration of human systems.
• You will direct the application of human engineering and integration, research, development, design analysis, test and evaluation, and in-service engineering to the integration of pilot/aircrew and their enabling technologies
• You will allocate resources to meet the specific needs of program teams and of the Branch and with managers of similar technical areas for other government agencies and industry.
• You will Identify development and training needs of employees and provides for such development and training.
• You will establish levels of empowerment of Branch personnel based on experience, training, and expertise, resolves conflicts with IPT leaders concerning delegated responsibilities.
