Position Description

YOU WILL SERVE AS A SHEET METAL MECHANIC LEADER IN THE MRO PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT, PRODUCTION LINES DIVISION OF FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will conduct formal training and on the job training for the full range of Sheet Metal Mechanics duties on fixed, rotary wing and trainer aircraft and aircraft components.
  • You will assign tasks to immediate workers, relay supervisor's instructions and provide guidance to workers on methods and procedures.
  • You will evaluate the progress of workers in terms of such factors as interest, cooperation, assimilation of basic fundamentals and theory, and practical application of work methods.
  • You will perform journeyman level tasks in areas such as aircraft lines, ground check, flight test and various component overhaul and repair shops.
