F-35 LIGHTNING PROGRAM - CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a Contract Specialist in the Procurement Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV supporting the F-35 program. This Contract Specialist position supports cradle to grave contracting requirements for the F-35 program including the acquisition of knowledge-based services, information technology supplies and services, consulting support, and any other deliverables or tasks required for program office operations.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will serve as a contract negotiator responsible for pre-award and post-award functions involving highly complex and specialized procurements of significant importance to the NAWCAD mission.
• You will perform long-range acquisition planning and formulate business strategies.
• You will plan negotiation strategies, coordinate strategies with negotiation teams, and lead negotiations which are conducted with contractors to discuss technical deficiencies and cost issues.
• You will prepare justifications and approvals, determinations, and findings and solicitation documents.
• You will explore new or innovative contracting approaches to arrive at equitable contract arrangements.
• You will accomplish other duties as assigned.
