INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/CHEMIST

You will serve as an Interdisciplinary Engineer/Chemist in the Air Systems Group, Propulsion & Power Engineering Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will direct research and development of fuels and lubes for Naval aircraft.
- You will provide fuels and lubes expertise to the various aircraft Integrated Program Teams and the fleet, as required.
- You will establish chemical and physical property requirements for all air-breathing propulsion fuels and lubes used by the Navy.
- You will develop and execute research and development to assess potential operational impacts of fuels produced from various alternate sources, such that flightworthiness can be certified.
- You will be responsible for the development and execution of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation efforts for Naval fuels (aircraft, missile, and ship), fuels prognostics/diagnostics, fuel handling/filtration, and aircraft ground refueling.
- You will lead teams of scientists and engineers from U.S. military services, Allies, and industry to ensure compatibility of military weapon systems with commercial and military aviation and marine fuels world-wide.
