IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK)

Position Description

You will serve as a IT NETWORK SPECIALIST in the Corporate Business & Analysis Group/Digital, Information Technology, Analysis & Cyber Department/Digital Infrastructure Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, equipment installation and maintenance, and equipment deployment for networks.
• You will provide mentoring, guidance and a source of expertise for the DITAC information technology work force and DITAC leadership as required.
• You will serve as lead in strategic information technology design activities for networks.
• You will research emerging technologies and working with vendors or government entities to provide engineered networking solutions to address evolving needs of our networks.
• You will work with network operations team to support the maintenance, repair and upgrade of network equipment in an advanced capacity (switches, routers, etc.).
• You will provide remote support (and travel to when required) remote WD sites, particularly NAWC Pt. Mugu to perform listed tasking.
