Position Description

You will serve as an Interdisciplinary Engineer/Scientist in the Research & Development Group, Weapons & Warfare Systems Test Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV POINT MUGU.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will provide Test and Evaluation guidance and technical direction to a team of 40 test team members, overseeing and orchestrating all activities to ensure the successful execution of projects with significant scope and impact on the warfighter.
  • You will provide technical leadership, test planning and coordination, communication and collaboration, technical expertise, agile software development, and test engineering.
  • You will provide test and evaluation staffing and resource management, and test results analysis, all while navigating complex technical and programmatic requirements and ensuring strict compliance with various instructions and regulations.
  • You will foster effective relationships with stakeholders and serve as the recognized technical expert in Mission Planning, TacMobile, and Next Generation Mission Planning, with in-depth expertise in platform integration tests.
  • You will train and mentor test leads to further develop their technical and leadership skills, and provide guidance on test planning, execution, and reporting.
