LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in PMA-209 Fleet Support Readiness Lead Deputy APML. Naval Air Warfare NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIVISION of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will review and coordinate the resolution of top fleet readiness degraders for PMA-209 managed systems with the affected aircraft program offices
• You will lead Reliability Control Board (RCB) Readiness Cell and Degrader Action Cell (DAC) teams in identifying and correcting the root cause of readiness degraders.
• You will apply logistics principles and practices to ensure the total integration of product support elements to meet program requirements.
• You will provide analyses and develop strategy for systems/sub-systems lifecycle support for Obsolescence and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages challenges to logistically sustain platform to sundown projections.
• You will critically evaluate the causes of readiness and support related problems and choose appropriate courses of action that balance the interests of the program mission and the stakeholders.
• You will interface with DOD, OPNAV, other agencies, supply chain managers, Fleet Support Team, field activities, test and evaluation organizations, other NAVAIR entities and contractors in performance of duties and in the resolution of issues.
