ELECTRONIC MECHANIC

You will serve as an Electronic Mechanic in the Facility and Infrastructure Management Department, Facility and Plant Maintenance Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will independently perform depot level overhaul, disassembly, repair, modification, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, alignment, installation and maintenance on electronic systems of greater complexity.
- You will maintain ongoing prototype systems as well as implement maintenance and repair procedures on major modifications of systems previously assigned to the activity.
- You will work from manufacturer's specifications, schematics, block diagrams, and technical orders, determine the operation of circuits, locate points from which to take readings, and analyze circuit layout to complete necessary visual inspection.
- You will serve as a subject matter expert in providing technical assistance to engineering personnel in resolving problems, as well as conducting formal training regarding proper use of components/systems.
