Position Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the AIR SYSTEMS GROUP, PROPULSION & POWER ENGINEERING DEPT, TEST METHODS & FACILITIES DIV, and MECHANICAL TEST OPS BR of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will provide guidance to branch personnel on safety and environmental procedures and processes.
  • You will conduct informal training of subordinates and provide backup skills by cross training.
  • You will ensure that test articles and associated equipment are prepared in accordance with directives received and that all work is accomplished commensurate with schedules.
  • You will find ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed.
  • You will assign work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty and requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees.
  • You will evaluate work performance of subordinates and recommends official performance ratings, give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
