GENERAL ENGINEER

Position Description

This announcement is for two positions in the Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Engineering Branch supporting the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Joint Program Office. The first position is to serve as the JSF Air Vehicle PHM Engineer. The other position is to serve as the Lead JSF R&M Engineer. In either position, you will serve as a General Engineer in the Systems Engineering Department, Reliability and Maintainability Engineering Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will apply advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes in research and engineering, test and evaluation, and logistics functions.
• You will identify and solve a wide variety of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables, and constraints.
• You will deliver optimized technical solutions that are balanced to achieve required technical performance within cost, schedule, and technology constraints.
• You will formulate approaches using knowledge or related projects to resolve a variety of nonrecurring technological problems, where some work may require state-of-the-art design to take advantage of new concepts.
• You will provide technically sound advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, peers, and sponsors on technical aspects of systems or concept development.
