You will serve as a ACCOUNTANT in the ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND.

You will perform financial analysis, accounting, audit readiness, and payment validation.
You will support pre-validation of vendor and contract payments by reviewing denied MOCAS, TFO, and TBO transactions.
You will perform accounting functions by reviewing SF 1081 packages, preparing SF 1034 miscellaneous payments, and supporting Budget Execution Validation (BEV) for General Fund (GENF) and Working Capital Fund (WCF) activities.
You will review and analyze asset-related financial reporting, processes, documentation, and data.
You will manage the controls testing and substantive testing with the NAVAIR Financial Improvement Audit Readiness (FIAR) Team and NAVAIR stakeholders.
You will be responsible for communicating with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
You will research unmatched transactions, prepare financial adjustments, support internal controls, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
You will process invoices and receipts; maintain records; coordinate with reconciliation teams; and prepare pre-validation packages.
You will develop process flows and memorandums; and ensure internal controls are implemented to mitigate financial statement risks and support audit readiness.
