SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER OR SCIENTIST

Position Description

You will serve as the China Lake Ranges Department Head in the Ranges, Targets Operations, Instrumentation & Laboratories Group of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) China Lake, CA.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will be recognized as the technical expert and advisor for test and evaluation for advanced Naval and other DoD aircraft and weapon systems.
• You will serve as a consultant, furnishing advanced scientific and technical guidance to top-level administrative and technical management officials within and outside the organization.
• You will establish future direction for China Lake Range operations and provide support for test and evaluation future requirements, investment planning and other strategic initiatives.
• You will carry out technical supervisory responsibilities involving technical planning and oversight of work accomplished through assigned military and federal employees.
• You will ensure sound fiscal management to sustain technical projects by analyzing and monitoring resources and providing planning information, recommendations, and decisions for future projected spending.
• You will provide overall direction, coordination, and management of all facets and functions of a major technical program or several closely related programs.
