INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST

You will serve as the Technical Director for Technology Maturation and Transition directly supporting PMA-298. You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the AVIONICS SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DIVISION, AVIONICS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will serve as Technical Director for the PMA-298 Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction IPT, leading development of advanced system-of-systems capabilities for next-generation warfighting and effect chains.
- You will act as the principal Navy Advanced Development technical POC across SYSCOMs, operational domains, and military Services to guide joint capability development.
- You will lead and integrate multi-disciplinary teams across Software, Hardware, Unmanned Systems, Advanced Payloads, Artificial Intelligence, Non-Kinetic Effects, and Autonomy IPTs.
- You will architect cross-SYSCOM and cross-Service System of Systems interactions to ensure seamless interoperability across joint operational architectures.
- You will drive the implementation of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) principles and Government Reference Architectures (GRA) across all maturation initiatives.
- You will coordinate and bridge Mission Engineering Gap Analyses with emerging materiel technology solutions to address critical operational capability needs.
- You will provide systems engineering guidance to Level II engineering to direct requirements management, engineering changes, SETR processes, and technical risk reduction.
- You will determine engineering staffing requirements for Program Management and execute technical oversight duties as a designated Contracting Officer Representative (COR).
- You will direct advanced development and engineering activities within multi-level security environments, operating effectively up to the Special Access Program (SAP) level.
