This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies through the DHA for Domestic Def Ind Base Facilities & Major Range/Test Facilities Base in DOD.. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will remove fixed sheet metal and composite structures from aircraft, disassemble structural and non-structural metal and composite components.
- You will assess damaged parts to determine the sequence of operations necessary to affect repairs or replacements.
- You will repair structural parts and skin surfaces of wing panels, fuselages, tail section, air foils, doors, pilot seats, tail cones, engine cowls, flaps, metal fuel tanks, and fairlings.
- You will work from technical directives, drawings, manuals and other written and verbal instructions and assist equivalent and lower-graded employees.
- You will perform duties using standard tools of the trade and special tools, such as press brakes, metal cutting equipment, shrinking, stretching, and forming machines, hydraulic presses, punch presses, turret punches and drill presses.
- You will assess completed assemblies to ensure compliance with technical references.
