JOB DUTIES/DESCRIPTION:
Managed and participated in the contractor and branch/division/IPT engineering effort involved in the research, design, development, test, evaluation and production engineering of wiring, electrical or avionics systems, as well as the correction of service problems with Fleet systems

Prepared official correspondence and written briefings. Presented oral briefings on technical management aspects of the assigned systems and programs. Originated and prepared various documents such as Procurement Requests (PR's), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), Approval for Production (AFP), to support system development and production contracts.
Evaluated ECP's (Engineering Change Proposals) for engineering, program, and financial practicality.
Consulted and coordinated with other commands, services, industry and government agencies. Provided technical advice to other commands and Navy activities in the field of electrical power systems. Maintained liaison with other top engineering executives, leading scientific personnel and technical experts to assure prompt application of significant developments.
Managed advanced work in assigned areas and systems in which there is little or no theory to guide experimentation, or where progress is difficult and new techniques and approaches need to be devised.
Managed an engineering development and test program for assigned Fleet wiring systems and equipment to ensure the highest level of readiness.
Evaluated design proposals received in response to formal competition as well as unsolicited proposals, for weapon wiring systems and submits formal evaluations and recommendations to the Evaluation Division, Program Officers, and Contracting Officers.

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DP-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
