INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER

You will serve as an Interdisciplinary Engineer, supporting PMA-231 as the CNI/MSS in service lead engineer, in the Mission Systems Group, Avionics Engineer Department, Avionics Systems Engineering Division, Air ASW Assault and Spec Mission Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will provide expertise to PMA231 programs to include Embedded GPS/INS Modernization (EGI-M), Precision Approach Landing systems, Cryptographic Modernization of ARC-210 and VACM devices.
- You will provide expertise to PMA231 programs including but not limited to APY-9 Radar and associated systems, TARA system, ADS-B / IFF systems.
- You will evaluate vendor proposed system design changes to address parts/component obsolescence while ensuring system specification compliance is maintained.
- You will apply concepts of accuracy, integrity, availability, and continuity to navigation system specifications and analyses.
- You will function as a project lead, program manager, team lead or member of an integrated team/group providing technical guidance to a technical workforce and meeting customer requirements for products and/or services.
- You will manage a small to medium scale/scope or segments of a project/program.
- You will apply such as but not limited to: Risk Management, Configuration Management, Data Management, Trade-off Analysis/Trade Studies, Technical Performance Measurement and Technical Reviews, Modeling and Simulation or Earned Value Management
- You will generate requirements for system upgrades to add additional capability or create new system configurations, prepares Statements of Work (SOW), and engages in technical interchange with both customers and vendors.
- You will work with Inertial Navigation System (INS), Global Positioning System (GPS), Embedded GPS/INS (EGI), and Performance Based Navigation (PBN).
- You will work with Radio Control Units (RCU), Radio Interface Units (RIU), ARC-210, and Second Generation Anti-jam Tactical UHF Radio for NATO (SATURN).
