You will serve as an F-35C Class Desk Deputy Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (DAPMSE) in the System Engineering Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. As the DAPMSE, you will provide multi-disciplinary support for the F-35 Air System in PEO (JSF). Also, this position will serve as a non-supervisory DAPMSE, who will be responsible for providing engineering and technical support to the F-35C team.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for planning, assigning, managing, and coordinating engineering tasks.
- You will implement agency policies and procedures to ensure safety, readiness, and airworthiness of F-35C fleet in the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO).
- You will facilitate teamwork between internal and external contacts to ensure integration of all new hardware and software systems will meet customer expectations.
- You will ensure technical requirements for projects through proper tasking and coordination of available resources.
- You will lead and participate in ad-hoc action teams to address emergent fleet technical and safety issues, and to balance technical rigor, safety, and airworthiness, while minimizing adverse fleet operational impact.
- You will conduct technical assessments to ensure that necessary requirements are addressed in production and sustainment contracts.
- You will ensure that all exportability requirements associated with National Disclosure Policy are documented and verified for partner and FMS aircraft contract deliveries.
- You will be responsible for ensuring that processes are in place to maintain and sustain an exportable aircraft design.
- You will implement systems engineering processes in support production and sustainment activities.
- You will accomplish other duties as assigned.
