Position Description

You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the Systems Acquisition Group (SAG) of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. The incumbent of this position serves as the Director for Workforce Development within the SAG. The primary function of this position is to plan, manage and integrate group/department level efforts as directly related to workforce assessment and developmental programs.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will provide leadership and management to ensure all entry-level employees receive quality career experiences and developmental assignments to allow them to perform their duties for the Mission.
  • You will also guide, mentor and ensure the development of employees at all experience levels, including journey through our most senior workforce.
  • You will ensure the assigned department manages their developmental employees in compliance with respective program guidelines and ensuring departmental business and strategic objectives are considered in any developmental program decisions.
  • You will ensure developmental program participants are familiar with the objectives/requirements of their respective programs, such as the planning, execution and reporting of rotational assignments, and training.
  • You will ensure that adequate facilities and resources (office, phone, computer, etc.) are requested appropriately in advance and obtained by arrival date and that the participant’s check-in process is accomplished effectively.
  • You will interface with associates and managers to provide leadership, business management, direction, guidance, support and teamwork to support the services, programs or projects provided by the group.
  • You will provide leadership and coordination across the four basic building blocks of the human capital management.
  • You will perform trade-off analysis of human, technology, facility, and knowledge resource risks and costs as required.
