Position Description

You will serve as a Supervisor/Head of the D822 Cost Accounting Division within the D82 Accounting Department, D8 Comptroller Group of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will provide direction, design, and execution of division operations in support of the group, command, NAVAIR, and Navy mission requirements in accordance with applicable financial law/policy/regulation and system capabilities.
  • You will be performing analysis, research, troubleshooting, and critical thinking to create solutions for the division operations.
  • You will oversee the processing of division business transactions including review, approval, execution, and validation of transactions.
  • You will be coordinating processing and information across divisions, groups, commands, and echelons; and evaluating quality, completeness, and timeliness of division work products.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating/completing general equipment inventory plans, completion of the wall to wall inventory and communicating the inventory status to the command leadership and NAVAIR Command Property Office (CPO) office.
  • You will be providing supervision of division personnel including assignment and prioritization of workload, evaluating personnel performance, personnel administration and personnel development.
  • You will be managing division resources including staffing of personnel; providing required infrastructure resources including facilities, information technology, equipment, and supplies; and budgeting/managing the costs of these resources.
  • You will be providing leadership and vision for the division, department, and competency.
  • You will be participating in employee mentoring/coaching, communicating division and group capabilities across command and up the echelon chain, and leading others in understanding their role in the division, group, and command.
