Position Description

You will serve as an Aviation/Ship Integration Assistant Program Manager for Systems Engineering (APMSE) supporting PMA-251 Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment Program Office of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. You will support the PMA-251 Chief Engineer. You will lead and manage engineering and technical efforts for bridging the interface to integrate PMA-251 products and aviation systems with shipboard systems, facilities, or both.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will develop and review program technical and mission documentation, providing authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues and ensuring engineering requirements are met.
  • You will participate in the development and design of new systems by assessing if available or imminent technology is sufficient to meet requirements or system concepts are applicable to fleet operational requirements.
  • You will formulate engineering design concepts and performance requirements which provide the basis for overall technical and engineering planning for the assigned system.
  • You will maintain knowledge of current arid future capabilities, problems and demands upon the system(s) and provide overall technical planning for development, engineering, and evaluation of programs.
  • You will integrate cost estimates with program plans (schedules, development requirements), test and evaluation requirements, projected problems, etc.,) into a total acquisition POM and budget.
  • You will evaluate technological developments and their applicability to the assigned program, and recommend appropriate technical changes throughout the design process.
  • You will assess progress of system development test and evaluation activities, inventory, production, and support; to ensure adequate resources for project execution.
