SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER

You will serve as the F/A-18 Program Office (PMA-265) as the Assistant Program Manager for Engineering (APME). You will be the top Engineer responsible for the technical baseline development and integration of NAWCAD engineering disciplines for F-18/A-D, F/A-18 E/F and F/A-18G programs. You will serve as a Supervisory General Engineer in the Air Platform Systems Engineering Division, Systems Engineering Department, Systems Acquisition Group of the Naval Air Warfare Center of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- You will develop and review program, technical, and mission documentation to provide authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues.
- You will formulate engineering design concepts and performance requirements which provide the overall basis for technical and engineering planning for the assigned system.
- You will develop project planning objectives for engineering development of current and long-range programs, as well as maintaining the knowledge of current arid future capabilities, problems, and demands upon the system(s).
- You will integrate cost estimates with program plans (schedules, development requirements, test and evaluation requirements, projected problems, etc.) into a total acquisition POM and budget.
- You will assist the agency in the preparation, planning, and development of integrated logistics support plans for assigned systems, along with providing direction to personnel in the planning and development of the test and evaluation master plan.
- You will be the top Engineer responsible for the overall technical baseline development and integration of NAWCAD engineering disciplines across F-18/A-D, F/A-18 E/F and F/A-18G programs.
- You will coordinate technical matters with PMA Leadership and program sponsors and in coordination with NAVAIR executive leadership, joint service leadership, subject matter experts, and industry counterparts.
