SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST

Position Description

You will serve as the Integrated Assessments Branch Head in the Mission Engineering and Analysis Division, Warfare Effectiveness Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV. This position is equivalent to a GS-13/14.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will supervise a Branch comprised of junior level, journey level and senior level operation research analysts and military officers (O5-O4).
• You will provide analysis/modeling expertise to represent Navy interests in joint service analytic approaches and modeling tools used to support multiple mission areas program and technology decisions.
• You will lead a management team in advanced weapons system studies to decide future needs in warfare mission areas.
• You will be responsible for overseeing the development and application of policies, processes, and best practices, and assessing the current and future staffing and skills required to support program teams, science.
• You will develop or direct development of new methods and unique computer analysis models when existing techniques are determined to be inadequate for the problem being addressed.
• You will assist in the recruiting, hiring and training of lower-graded employees assigned to the incumbent for specific projects and studies.
