Position Description

You will serve as a Senior Data Scientist within the Fleet Support Team (FST), Operations, Planning and Support (OPS) Department, Strategic Planning and Management Support Division, Data Analytics Branch, at Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW), San Diego, CA, in support of FST and Commanding Officer Fleet Readiness Center (COMFRC) vision, goals and mission.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will function as a Senior Data Scientist creating and maintaining logistics and engineering databases, and other configuration management, administrative, and operations tools for use within FRSCS's FST and Maintenance, Repair and Overhead.
  • You will apply data science techniques, methods, and tools help resolve complex in-service logistics and engineering support issues affecting major aircraft weapon systems.
  • You will be responsible for analyzing, evaluating and projecting cost, schedule, maintenance, and/or management performance data in support of FRCSW's goals and objectives.
  • You will guide, mentor and training data scientist at the GS-12 and below level.
