INTERDISCIPLINARY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST/DATA SCIENTIST

You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST/DATA SCIENTIST in the Air Systems Group of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

You will serve as the Readiness and Fleet Analytics (RFA) Division Technical Lead across four independent analytics branches.
You will provide technical direction, mentorship, and training, including providing hands-on guidance to a diverse and interdisciplinary workforce composed of data scientists, engineers, logisticians, and data analysts.
You will support and mentor readiness analysts, supply analysts, Smart data analysts, CBM+ IT developers, modeling and simulation developers, and software programmers both within and external to the division.
You will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and managing innovation initiatives that leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, AI, and modern data science techniques to improve fleet readiness and operational outcomes.
You will lead the development and submittal of research proposals, securing funding from various sources and overseeing execution.
You will facilitate and assist the branch heads with the definition of requirements and identification of proper skill sets required to execute products and services within the division for our customers and the fleet.
You will possess expert-level knowledge of modern data architectures, including enterprise-scale data lakes, cloud-based environments, and associated services.
You will provide technical leadership in the domain of data engineering, including expertise with extract, transform, and load (ETL/ELT) processes essential to preparing data for analysis.
