GENERAL ENGINEER

Position Description

The incumbent will serve as the PMA-272 Common Systems IPT DAPMSE working closely with the Strike and Assault IPTs and associated weapons systems to ensure appropriate integration. The incumbent will work with all services for joint efforts related to ALE-47 and Air Expendable Countermeasures. You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the Systems Engineering Department, Air Platform Systems Engineering Division, and PEO(T) Program Branch of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will provide guidance to engineering/other personnel in the divisions regarding the issuance of Requests for Proposals, Type Specifications, Procurement Requests and Acquisition Plans ensuring systems engineering management requirement are met.
• You will review all technical changes and approve/disapprove such changes about established requirements, plans, scheduling, and funding.
• You will support the APME and APMSE with technical oversight, development, integration, and sustainment attributes of all current and future PMA 272 Common Systems ACAT level and Advanced Development Programs.
• You will lead the planning, execution, and closure of Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs) and SETR events to include audits such as SRR, PDR, CDR, FCAs and PCAs.
• You will execute sound systems engineering strategies and provide oversight of SE products for all EW programs within the Common IPT portfolio.
• You will coordinate working level engineering test requirements with project test leads and bring issues to APME and APMSE for adjudication.
