SUPERVISORY AIRSPACE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

You will serve as a Supervisory Airspace Management Specialist in the NAVAL TEST WING PACIFIC of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.

You will manage the R-2508 Complex, approximately 20,000 square miles of special-use airspace located over the Upper Mojave Desert
You will represent the airspace interests of NAWCWD and OPNAV N98 in a joint-service environment, working closely with the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
You will plan to preserve and maintain DON access to special use airspace, and ensures airspace issues and concerns that support the DON test and training communities are addressed.
You will advance policy and shape written direction on aviation policy and flight test policy that supports experimental flight test usage, emerging technologies, shared space, and complex testing of system of systems.
You will resolve airspace issues and concerns that support the DON test and training communities
you will supervise team of airspace managers and subject matter experts on flight test, flight safety, airspace management, and contracted air support for personnel and cargo transport.
You will manage funding for maintenance and operation and investment efforts related to R-2508 complex.
