SUPERVISORY INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN)

Position Description

You will serve as the Chief Information Officer in the located at the Fleet Readiness Center, Southwest, Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI) in San Diego, California.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will provide comprehensive program management oversight for all IT department projects and strategic initiatives.
• You will plan, direct and control all information technology operations within the Command through subordinate managers/supervisors.
• You will provide complete information systems management support to the Commanding Officer and Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and all elements of the Fleet Readiness Center.
• You will be responsible for the formulation, development, administration, acquisition and execution of information systems objectives, policies, programs, and projects for supported organizations.
• You will coordinate, defend and negotiate programs, projects, policies and controversial issues of significant impact on supported organization information systems.
• You will prepare and present justification for organization structure, manpower and personnel requirements to accomplish assigned mission.
• You will provide for development and training or cross training, assists employees in improving performance and keeps them informed of policies, personnel and other management programs.
