GENERAL ENGINEER

You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the The Air Platform Systems Engineering Division of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.

You will be responsible and accountable to manage the engineering technical teams for bridging the interface between NAVAIR aircraft, weapons, and other aviation systems and Air Capable Ships (ACS) managed by NAVSEA.
You will have primary tasking in support of Constellation Class Frigates, currently in final development, but will also support all ACS other than carriers.
You will act as the engineering planning and management representative for assigned systems at program reviews, contact reviews, briefings, and budget hearings.
You will evaluate technological developments and their applicability to the assigned program and recommends appropriate technical changes throughout the design process.
You will integrate cost estimates with program plans (schedules, development requirements), test and evaluation requirements, projected problems, etc.,) into a total acquisition POM and budget.
You will develop or direct development of contract engineering specifications which define system requirements and parameters.
You will be assigned to the Aviation Ship Integration Office at Patuxent River under the Aviation/Ship Integration Division Director as a Subject Matter Expert within the A/SI Technical Domain.
You will be assigned responsibility under NAVAIRINST 13034.1 as the A/SI flight clearance SME for ACS(s).
