Interdisciplinary Engineer/Scientist

Position Description

 The FXTPO’s LRASM Mission Support Cell (MSC) is seeking a full-time experienced modeler/analyst to support MSC activities. 

Responsibilities include:
• Interface with the intelligence community and participate in threat working groups
• Develop and execute threat models; create and maintain documentation for models/tools 
• Plan and execute weapon system performance and tactical usage studies
• Create and setup test cases, execute runs, and post-process data
• Perform data analysis and generate reports/briefing material of results
• Creating and maintaining analysis scripts
• Communicating results and conclusions to fellow team members and leadership
• Testing and debugging software developed by M&S developers
• Supporting the verification and validation of M&S tools

Desired skills:
Ideal candidate will have experience with MATLAB; Data analysis; software troubleshooting; Coding in Matlab and Python; Statistics/Design of Experiments; Experience working in a Linux environment; Works well within a cohesive team, basic understanding of signal processing and knowledge of RF sensors, is desired.

Day-to-day tasking would include support of technical reviews, work surrounding system verification test definition, planning, and execution; drafting system-level documents and reports; keeping abreast of issues; insuring all modeling and simulation capability supports verification efforts; and directing day-to-day activities of a small team of engineers and technicians.
