AIRCRAFT EXAMINER (SHEET METAL MECHANIC)

Position Description

YOU WILL SERVE AS AN AIRCRAFT EXMANINER (SHEET METAL MECHANIC) IN THE MRO PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT, PRODUCTION LINES DIVISION OF FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will examine, evaluate, and analyze the condition of assigned sheet metal mechanic systems, components, and accessories for assigned aircraft.
• You will determine the product condition by identify and documenting all non-conforming discrepancies.
• You will install and adjust flight controls, control cables, rods, bell cranks, pulleys and fairleads.
• You will make informed technical decisions to determine and control the extent of disassembly and depth of repair and processing to only what is required and authorized.
